Hello Everyone, In the spirit of getting to know one another, here's a tidbit about myself. My RL name is Kristina, I'm 40 and a Stay at Home Mom w\ 3 kids, ages 7 ,11, 13. Of which I home school. Crazy, I know. I live next to a beautiful lake that backs up to a State Park in North Texas. The pelicans and cranes are flying as we speak. We even have a resident Bald Eagle.... gotta love it. I have friends who have played LOTRO for a while and finally got me to give it a try.... LOL!!!!! Now I'm hooked . Cant wait to meet more of you.... Until then.
I almost forgot to list my alts, hehe, Elemendria is my main. I also have Wackler my burglar.
Also, many of you know that my 11yr daughter aka Natallie and alts plays LOTRO as well. I'm very lucky to have this with my daughter. With that being said if any of you have questions or concerns about something that Natallie or alts are doing or saying please fill free to let me know. She young but knows what manners are. lol

Hello! I'd like to start by apologizing for taking so long to get involved with the forums. I am also homeschooling and it's kept me very busy this year. My RL name is Heather and my kin toons are Heatherdora, Despina and Sequilas (so far hehe). Bartemius/Waltrid (Walt) is my hubby and Curugar/Thosialin (Christian) is our son...my stepson actually but biomom has been gone a long time...he's mine Elementhria/Elemendria is my RL best friend and we live on the north side of that beautiful lake she's talking about, but we don't live right on it like she does (lucky b**ch lol). Although we live in Texas, we are not your typical southerners. We hate country and love all kinds of rock, mostly hard, but also ska, jazz, blues and swing. We also enjoy big band, classical and traditional middle ages music. Our lives revolve around music. It's the only thing we love more than LOTR/LOTRO...and yes we have the full movie soundtrack on CD hehe. Walt and I met 12 years ago and at that time I had only played Mario and Tetris. He got me addicted to Diablo II. Then WoW came out and I wasn't just addicted, it took over our lives! We were into hardcore raiding and sometimes had our own guild. It was way too much work. Now that we've come to LOTRO, we're still addicted, but in a more healthy way ;D I'm so very happy we finally switched. It's not just the game...the community is awesome and our Kin is a fine example of that!

Hi there! I said my basic hello's in the other thread, but I'd like to introduce myself on a more personal level too My name is Kristy, and I live in Orlando, FL. I have a gorgeous baby daughter named Susannah. I'm a long-time gamer in tabletop and LARP settings, and I like to make masks and tiny hats. (The latter of which came in handy when we did a neo-Victorian/steampunk game!) I love music, but my tastes are a little eclectic, ranging from contemporary rock to Leonard Cohen to Heather Dale to Ondar. (My baby girl is much cooler than me and has been known to rock out to System Of A Down.) A lot of the stuff I'm into is very political or activist-y, but I'll try to keep that off the boards! (Question: do the homeschooling moms above me have any info about resources for homeschooling? It's something we've considered when Su gets older, but right now we could not afford for me to stop working!)

Hi all, my name is Walter. I am 34 years old, and I have been playing online rpgs for about 16 years. I started out on Diablo 1, Diablo2, which I still play sometimes, and then played WoW for about 5 and a half years. I started playing Lotro on July of 2010 on the Nimrodel server. After about a year (65 RK) my wife Sequilas and I decided it would be better to research servers rather than blindly pick one. Landroval had a great rep so here we are! My wife and 13 year old son both play, although he has been glued to Dark Souls on Ps3 for about the last month lol.
I am a drummer, guitarist and vocalist as far as music goes. I also enjoy playing Magic the Gathering and above all else spending time with my family. I am happy to help anyone with anything, and almost anytime. Simply ask and if it is possible it will be done.

Hello All.
I just joined today, so thought I'd introduce myself.
My name is Matt, and my one and only toon is Lamildros, an elven loremaster of the kin of Gil-Galad.
I am 29 years old, live in Champaign, Illinois, and am a graduate research assistant at the University of Illinois, working on completing my research and M.S. degree this semester in Beef Cattle nutrition.
I am a long time Tolkien geek, having read the LOTR and Hobbit more times than I can count, the Silmarillion several times, Unfinished Tales twice, and everything else one time. I also play board games like War of the Ring and LOTR the Living Card Game. I was a Tolkien geek long before the movies even though about coming out, and still have mixed feelings about "Peter Jackson's Middle Earth".
As far as MMOs, I started playing WOW when I was deployed in Iraq with my Army company (I'm a UH-60 pilot). Some of my crew chiefs got me into WOW and I got hooked on the concept.
Looking forward to getting to know you all in game and sharing the experience of living in Arda.
Take care, Matt (aka Lamildros)

Greetings, all!
A little about me...
I am 30 years old and live in Wisconsin. I work tech support for a company that makes treadmills and ellipticals. In addition to LOTRO, I am a hobby costumer, a conventioneer, a table-top gamer, a fanfic-writer, and a rapier fencer and bard in the SCA.
I've been playing LOTRO for about two years, now. I started out on Dwarrowdelf server, but found it to be a grind-fest with nearly no RP or socialization. Seeking a more fulfilling time on LOTRO, I found Landroval server and got into RP a little (though not as much as I would like). My main and highest toon is a man Champion named Megildan in the 50s. He is currently in another RP kin (Commonfolk). I have seven (yes, seven) other characters besides, most of which are in the 20s; Freodgyth (woman Guardian), Faerelleth (elf, RK), Beregelleth (woman Hunter), Thanadoc (Hobbit Hunter), Skaldon (Dwarf Champion), Wilbeort (man Burg), and Doronrien (Elf Minstrel). Feel free to drop me a tell on any of them any time if you're up for RP or fellowing.
I am a lore addict and have been since I devoured the books nearly a decade ago. Be forewarned, I will likely talk your ear off, if given the chance.
Mae gevennin, mellyn nin!

Greetings to all! My name is Mike and I joined The Alliance yesterday after my Hunter Aotea had a great time battling in Dol Dinen with Attenuate. Aotea is my first character in LOTRO and together we seem intent on levelling but I want to see more of what the world has to offer. In real life, I'm 35 years old and live in Wellington, New Zealand. I work as a tour guide, mainly taking LOTR fans to visit filming locations from the trilogy (no Hobbit locations to speak of yet). I used to do the same thing in Queenstown, NZ and have visited most of the major filming locations in the country. In November 2012 I was guide for a group of fans from the Middle-earth Network, and we spent 2 weeks visiting LOTR and Narnia locations. We were in Wellington for the Hobbit world premiere and it was AMAZING! I was also lucky enough to be an extra in the Fellowship of the Ring (me and a few thousand others!). I was one of the Uruk-Hai at Amon Hen who killed Boromir and kidnapped Merry and Pippin. Sorry. I love LOTR and Middle-earth and have read the trilogy/Hobbit/Silmarillion several times each. Still love the movies but don't make the time to watch them as much any more. Due to my job and time zone, my hours in game will be pretty unpredictable, but I'll join in group activities when and where possible. Oh! I should mention my beautiful and talented (musician) wife. I found an American girl from Portland, Oregon and we visit there as often as possible. See you in Middle-earth.

Hello all! My RL name is Jef, I live in Belgium and am 21 years old. I currently study to become a pharmaceutical & biological laboratory scientist and should graduate in June next year if all goes well Fordil is one of my 10 freeps in LOTRO, but my real main is located on Firefoot. On Landroval I have 2 alts but I actually never use those anymore. I try to RP a bit but not really hardcore, I'm still quite new to the whole RP world . I've been playing since July 2011 and have completed nearly every questpack/expansion in the game (except Rohan, bought that one yesterday). I once owned my own kinship, but it wasn't really a success so it disbanded... I know a lot about the game (also spend a lot of time on the official game forums) so I can often help if you have any questions My gaming time varies, depending on my mood and class schedule. I'm usually online during European peak times (Belgium is 6 hours ahead of the EST timezone) but I usually have no problems with staying up untill 2-3am (occasionally even 5am if I'm in a group trying to run a raid). If you have any questions, feel free to ask, I won't bite

Hey everybody! First things first, thanks a lot for welcoming me into the kinship; I am greatly looking forward to my stay here and our adventures through Middle Earth! I plan on sitting down and reading as much of this thread as possible so as to acquaint myself with you all, but I am sure I will get to know many of you in game as well in the weeks and months to come. Here's a little about myself though: Name is Mike and I'm currently 21. I'm from Ontario, Canada (EST) and going to university in my hometown, studying Psychology. As of the time of writing this, I have just finished my last day of classes of for my 3rd year ! 3 exams to write and then I'm done for the summer, during which I'll pick up where I left off the last 3 summers at the same job. My gaming background: I've loved computer games ever since I could remember; I used to love playing the King's Quest series (introduced to KQ V, tried them all since); loved Roller Coaster Tycoon, that was definitely a favourite...but the game that really introduced me to the concept of 'social' gaming was, believe it or not, a mostly single-player game: The Movies (by Lionhead). Once I learned about the online community, and that people from all over made their own movies and shared them with each other online, I became hooked; I eventually made a group of friends on there and we migrated to other games, and that's when I was really introduced to MMOs for the first time... I first got into Guild Wars, and loved my time spent there, although it was brief. Then I played on some private WoW servers, and that's where I learned the whole MMO mechanics and gameplay system. And this is where two stories meet and combine to form the story that is told today... The second story I speak of, of course, is my love of Tolkien. I was 9 years old when I first read The Hobbit, and I've been stuck in Middle Earth ever since. Now truthfully, I'm not exactly a Tolkien-junkie or superfan, by any means, as I never really got hardcore into anything ... but I've loved the lore and the stories all the same ever since that first reading of The Hobbit. I am actually currently rereading it, as my plan for this summer is to get through as much Tolkien related material as I can get my hands on! I've already read The Hobbit, The Trilogy, and part of The Silmarillion, although I was too young the first time I tried reading the latter, which is why I never got through it. Anyhow ... now you can see where my two stories are going to meet... Immediately upon hearing of the Lord of the Rings Online, I preordered .. and I've been stuck here ever since, happily of course! To this day I tell my dad he should have gotten me the lifetime membership when he had the chance, as now I'm the one stuck paying for it *laughs*. Despite all my time as an account-holder, I've never played long enough to get a character to end-game. For some reason, I always only ever played for about a month or two at a time, and then real life would get in the way, and I'd not return for a good long while (usually a few months at least). I've returned quite a few times, but I've always rerolled, wanting a fresh start to things. This time, however, I've returned and am determined to get Duplenty to the lands of Rohan and beyond! I have been playing for over a month now since I've returned, and now that school's out for summer I should have more consistent playing time. My friend, Marzul, also plans on joining the kinship and he and I have been levelling together over the past month or two. I am a casual player, never having been in a raid before I can't really say if I'd love it or hate it, but I am almost sure I wouldn't hate it... I'm just afraid of my computer crashing during one . I have always enjoyed PvE in MMOs, and PvP will be fun if my computer can handle it ... my main priority though is to get Duplenty to cap! I also enjoy RP, the reason I came Landroval was because I was interested in learning about it, and because I knew it would enhance the experience of being IN Middle Earth! I would classify myself somewhere between light and medium when it comes to RP. Well, that was extremely long winded, however I feel it was worth it as I am excited to become a part of this kinship and get to know everyone of my kinsmen! Feel free to ask my any questions in game or on the forums here! Safe travels!
