I'm looking forward to meeting you folks in game, around a table at the tavern, around a fire in the peaceful wilderness, or around of stack of gold in the deepest, darkest dungen depths!

Hello Kinfolk, This is Findolin Daefaron, Shadow Hunter of Mirkwood.
In real life I am Dennie and hale from the San Francisco Bay Area. I work for the American Licorice Company, maker of Red Vines and Sour Punch.
LOTRO is the first online game I have ever played. Being such a huge Tolkien geek, I fell in love with its Lore and playing style immediately. I began playing at intial launch back in 2007 and became a lifetime member shortly there after.
I also have two high level Guardians (low 80's), Celindor and Gondil, and a second hunter, Faronwen (level 81) also, but am enjoying my journeys as a new found hunter in Findolin once again.
If any need help in their journeys, please let me know. My honor and my life is to help all free folk of Middle Earth until my time to sail west has come.

Well... I am sort of old... 45 years old, I live in Portugal, Europe, GMT+0. I am vegetarian since I was 25 years old ( yup! We can survive with no need to kill sensitive beings ). As work I am structural engineer, making buildings, factories, the “skeleton” of them. Also i cooperate in landscape architecture projects. I start to play lotro back in 2009 but i quit after a few weeks, to many bugs, and not so much time to play was a dead combo. I am back now, I play this main Hobbit minstrel BADFOOT. For second char I play the Elf Warden GALANEN. Fell free to page me anytime you want, sometimes a good shared joke is all we need to have a good day

Welcome to the family, Badfoot.
My daughter who plays Bookwerm, also a hobbit, is also a vegetarian. She feels the way you do about killing animals for food.

Greetings all! This is Dawenil/Alaaric (my main toons). I am Melody irl and am married to Cethael. We have three amazing kids. We live in Oregon. I have played MMOs for almost 10 years now. I've played D2, NWN, UO (was a GM on a private shard for a long time), RO, SWG for years and cried when they pulled the plug, D3, and started LOTRO a couple of years ago, stopped playing and started back up in Dec '12. I am a homemaker and have the best job in the world taking care of my 7yo girl, 6yo boy and 3yo girl. Our son has severe autism and has just recently started finding some words here and there. He is pretty awesome though and so are our girls! I have also played D&D/Pathfinder, etc..
My main is currently a level 45 hunter. My first toon is still lvl 14. lol When I came back to the game in Dec I created a hunter and have leveled her up quickly.
I'm happy to find the kin and look forward to getting to know you all better. Blessings, Melody

Greetings, kinmates. My primary toon is Thenichir, an elven hunter/woodsman, currently at level 54. My other toons in The Alliance at this time are Cethael (elven champion/armsman) and Marjorum (hobbit burglar/yeoman). My name (irl) is Robert, and I am 40 years old.
My wife (Dawenil/Alaaric) and I just joined the kinship today. We've been playing lotro for a few years now, but our previous kinship has slowly died off so that we seem to be the only remaining players that play on a regular basis, and The Alliance seems a perfect fit for us. We both love the game and play almost daily, usually in the evening/night time Pacific Time after our three wonderful kids have gone to bed. We have a three-year-old daughter, a six-year-old son with severe autism (no-verbal and very challenged, but as sweet as they come and the light of my life), and a seven-year-old daughter. Incidentally, owing to my son's challenges, I'm a bit sensitive to abuse of the word 'retarded' (and variants), and generally any attacks on those with special needs. I try not to be too hyper-sensitive, but if I tune out of certain lines of conversation when they head that way, it is safe to assume that is why.
In real life history, I am a veteran of the United States Army, having served two separate enlistments. The first was as an MP, and the second as a Signal Intelligence Voice Interceptor and Arabic Linguist. I served in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. I was medically discharged and I am now a Regional Security Manager and GSOC Manager for a major international high tech company.
I have been a gamer-geek all my life, as the son of two old-school gamer-geeks. I've played pen and paper RPG's of all kinds, but especially AD&D and PathFinder. In the digital world, I have played Diablo, D2, D3, NWN, DAoC, SWG, RO, UO, GW and GW2, STO and many others, with SWG (Star Wars Galaxies) being my all time favorite until they discontinued it. I am also a hard-core Tolkien fan. I have read all of his major works and a good share of his lesser known works. I first read the Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings back in the mid 1970's, and I have been hooked on Middle Earth ever since.
In terms of play-style, I enjoy RP at times, but also enjoy just digging in and killing monsters or grinding out crafts at times. I like to help out others whenever and in what ever ways I am able. I feel it makes the game more enjoyable for all, including myself. I look forward to being actively involved in the kinship and getting to know you all better over time. If ever I can be of assistance, please don't hesitate to send me a /tell.
Thank you all for welcoming us to the Kinship. See you all in game!

Hi, everyone!
I'm Bosmo, and I just joined the kinship. This is my first MMORPG, so I'm still learning the ropes. I first read Lord of the Rings when I was about 12 and have loved them ever since. So when I recently learned of this game, I knew I just had to get it.
Currently I'm a software engineer in the San Francisco Bay Area, and I can usually get on to play in the evenings in pacific time. I hope to see you all around!

Welcome, Robert and Melody, to The Alliance It's awesome that you both played UO... I did many years ago as well.. Shadowcove, Sanctuary, and then Blade Of Destiny... I don't miss the 45-degree tilt at all, lol. It's really nice that you have 3 great kids. I'm sorry to hear your son has so much trouble. I guess we all have our own difficulties to face in life, though. I've been struggling with an anxiety disorder since I was about 5yrs old.... it's and ever-present challenge to overcome and it's sometimes downright paralyzing to my daily life. At age 25 now, I'm just trying to think of it in terms that I have certain lifestyle needs to keep my stress lower, and live each day at a time. I'm confident that your son will live a great life with supportive, understanding parents like you My Mom (Vendla) is my biggest supporter in life Well, welcome again... please let me or any of the Officers know if we can help you with anything. Have fun! ~Onnika/Bookwerm/Morninglorie~

Hello Kin.
I play Eldgrimmr, a Dwarf Rune-keepr who is also an avid tinker.
In RL, I'm Del, a 46 year old programmer living in Olympia, Wa. I'm married, have 2 kids and have been a fan of Tolkien's lore since I was in the 6th grade.
I began my MMO life playing DAoC, and no matter what other games I try out, I always come back to LOTRO.
I started playing the first year of the game's release, on the Brandywine server.
See you all in game.
Del

Hello all, I play as Seregona, a hobbit named after the Seregon plant found in Beleriand, translated as 'blood of stone'. She was so named because, like many hobbits, her parents had an acute love of nature, specifically the unusual kind of nature that grew outside the Shire. She is a warden, with a passion for metalsmithing after seeing the beautiful armour created by elves. I myself live in the UK, I'm an 18 year old (hopeful) fine art student and you can call me Jess LOTRO is my first MMORPG and I've certainly caught the bug as a result. Can't wait to get to know you all! Jess
