Well,
My name is Slate, I'm 25, and I live in Austin, TX.
I am currently working in sales (That's what a degree in English will get you!), but I'm having a friend train me in coding as to make that leap fairly soon.
I'm a multi-instrumentalist, and I play bass guitar, guitar, drums, banjo, and I sing. That being said, I'm currently working on a solo album, while looking for a band to play with. Austin is The Live Music Capital of the World, so that shouldn't be hard, eh?
In terms of MMO experience, well just take a seat. I began the day SWG launched and I played that until they day they shut it down. In the midst of playing SWG, I dabbled in EVE, WoW, AoC, STO, EQ2, GW, GW2, RIFT, DDO, RS, AO, RoM, MapleStory, DCUO, and many more others. Along with LotRO, I also play SWTOR. I did play LotRO when it launched, and I have come back to it from time to time.
I'm also an avid console gamer, and now that I've fallen back in love with LotRO, you will only find me playing CoD:Ghosts on my XBOX ONE.

Nice summary I tried to learn to play the guitar a few years ago but had to stop because I didn't have enough time to practice :/ I'd also like to learn a bit about coding, but I haven't got any bit more free time than I used to (in fact, starting on Feb 10, I'll start my internship which will keep me busy working 5 days a week, 9 hours a day, + extra hours at home to work on my papers...)

Hey Kin, Name is Tim, 40 yr old male, living in Wisconsin USA. Retired / Disabled, so i play alot I have two kids 21 yr old Son, and 18 yr old daughter. I started gaming back when i was like 5-6, when Space Invaders, Asteroids, and Pac Man came out in the arcades. I was hooked... Had almost every TV console out back then, first PC was a IBM Compatible Tandy 1000 from Radio Shack. Quickly learned how to pull PC's apart, trouble shoot hardware and just become a nerd. About 15-16 i was an amateur Skateboarder here in WI. Mainly skated pools/ramps. Also started playing Guitar around that time. Skipping ahead.... I've played just about every MMO that's out there, if for a month or two, to years. Actually began with BBS's (Bulletin Board Systems) and MUD's (completely text based RPG's). When the internet started up, started with UO. I play many Online games, and offline single player stuff still. Just what ever mood i'm in. I still play guitar, and play rhythm guitar for my landlords band. Just a kinda goof off thing...something to do. They play mostly traditional mexican music (dance / polka kind of). They bought my house in 2008 after my grandmother, that i took care of, past away. I ended up just renting from them, as i didn't want to own another home for now. Just turned out they needed a guitar player, and i played lol. Anyway, in game i am Vizaroth, Ozzrin, and Valnoric. Played back when the game released, left for 5+ yrs. recently came back. Poof here i am. I also play Creep side alot, so....sorry in advance if i kill you See you all ingame!

My name is Lily. At present, I am of age where I am the answer to Life, The Universe, and Everything. I like variety, so I have loads of interests and will never have enough hours in my life no matter how long I live to do everything I find exciting and fun.
I've poked about with a few MMOs. I've been playing LOTRO since technically open beta, but back then I was too swept up with leading both a Guild and an Alliance in Guild Wars (I) so I didn't stick with it. When MoM came out, a friend bought it for me for Xmas, and even though I was on Gladden first and I had some fun there, once I found out Landy was an RP server, I was home and dropped GW completely. I play other casuals, but LOTRO is my only MMO now. I also do that archaic stuff like pen and paper and things that require boards and pieces to move about when there's time.
I'm not a fan of the movies. I love the books. I still haven't managed to get through the books posthumously published, but I try from time to time.
I am an altoholic. Because of house ownership and storage limitations coupled with my incessant desire to share, with my hubby's help, we have 57 accounts, primarily F2P for house holders in two neighborhoods (one Dwarf, one Hobbit) that are composed almost entirely of crafting and crafted goods shared storage for certain kins. I have a little notebook to keep track of who is where. Yes, it's insane. I know. Folk point that out to me all the time when they find out.
On my main account I have 17 characters. Most of the house owner accounts rarely get play time. Some are RP specific for special occasions.
Since Daffy (Daffodilia) became the second in command for the Bounders of the Shire, I don't play my main account characters as evenly as I used to. I tend to play her the most for obvious reasons. (*Daffodilia waves to Bookwerm*)
Most of my characters range from 15-60, one who should be 80 some time this year. I am a proud bearer of the Tortoise Stone on most of my folks. Even if Heid isn't a good fit for an adventure, I usually have someone that can unless it's for over 78 (?) trainings.
Overall, my preferred playstyle is walk and talk RP adventuring and socializing. I'm not adverse to loot n' scoot when required. I fish when I can. I like music, but I don't have time to learn the system or be in bands. I love to craft. Heid, though, is my only non crafter, but I don't mind crafting with my alts if folks need things.
I am notoriously bad at remembering names and who is whose alt. I'm also notorious for failing to write short posts when I really mean to do just that.

*chuckles* Thanks for the welcome.
Before the house madness set in, I only had my main account 17 (which also has a beta add with 3), and the few old trial accounts we made back in the day to fill out starting kins that we reclaimed when the game went F2P. I think I still have a creep I made for a wacky Moors RP once, but I never play them anymore.

Greetings all!
I'm a mom at home who started the mmorpg madness with Everquest, then over the years played EQ2, DAoC, LoTRO, GW1, GW2, SWTOR, RIFT, AoC, WAR, WoW, FF14, ESO...omg do I really need to go on? Lets make it short, big fan of EQ/EQ2 but tried almost all other games out there, trying to recapture the EQ magic.
I joined LoTRO in 2007 but played only to my 30's before my boyfriend dragged to to other games. I'm back and having a blast and I'm sad I was not back earlier. I'm playing Muinel my elven minstrel and that's the only character I have. I very rarely have alts in games for I like to concentrate my gameplay and role play on one only.
I love roleplaying, been doing it since Everquest and before that in Dungeons and Dragons. I'm usually a heavy roleplayer, not of the elitist kind or lore "nazi" though, but in LoTRO I've been away for so long that I gladly adopt a more medium RP style. Overall I always adapt to whom I'm with. My playstyle is open world/adventure not really tavern chat rp, though I don't mind kicking my boots up and relaxing in an inn after some action, just not as my main form of RP. I'm not into long emoting and prefer a more action/reaction oriented style, letting the others react, pretty much as with a normal conversation.
Beside gaming I play the violin (new passion and surprisingly going very well), the piano, the thinwhistle <3 <3 <3. I played back in highschool the classic guitar and the clarinet. I guess it's no wonder I play as a minstrel hehe.
I also love reading, from philosophy to poetry, quantum theory and cosmology, history, gothic litterature and archaeology (I'm an anthropologist) to the occasional fantasy fiction. I got my specialized university degree in archaeology and participated in digs in Canada (5000 years old sites). I also have 3 cats and I'm annoyingly crazy about them =^..^=
That's about it!

*waves her tin whistle back*
Welcome!
A while back, after the once a year Landy RP open meeting at the Methel Stage, what some folks unofficially decided in later discussions was that the long emote story snippet form was "Bree-style" and the more interactive mixing with emotes and /say that to some feels more organic was "Shire-style". I'm definitely a Shire-style lass, and not just because I have so many hobbits.
(I'm not even sure if that meeting happens anymore...I went to it for three years, but don't know what happened after that.)

Welcome Muinel Must have been amazing to discover stuff from 5000 years ago... I can't even imagine what it's like. Glad to have you with us, I'm usually online in American afternoon - early evening (sometimes late evening too if I lose track of time again), so will see you in-game

Hi, I am new to the kin. I'm a 61 year old married male in South Dakota that have been playing lotro since 2007. I'm a lifetime member. I'm a roll playing member. If I talk in chat it is always in a roll playing mindset. I play almost always solo so when I'm in a group please understand that I might not know all I need to do or know since I'm mainly solo. Also take note I'm more then happy to help anyone just send a tell. I'm very pleased to be in a kinship of decent respectable players. Thanks. Brisso

Hi Brisso! I haven't been able to get on much lately, but I do love LOTRO and this is a very friendly and helpful kin to be a part of. I hope to see you in Middle-earth soon.
