Hi everyone. Just recently started playing on this server and was grateful for the kinship invite. (I get lonely without kinship chat - LOL)
In RL I'm a graphic designer living in North Central Pennsylvania. I've been playing LotRo since Jan. 2011 and just HAD to get family involved as well. I'm a little disappointed that I was only able to recruit my daughter and step-daughter. My daughter (Milindra) and I quest together whenever our work schedules allow.
LotRo is my first online game (well technically the second, but I won't mention that other experience 'cause once I found this game, it was history!)
I've tried all the classes except Burglar and Warden, my most recent being the Mini and I'm loving it! I've heard the Mini is kinda lore-breaking, but I really don't care. I'm here to have fun!
I don't RP, but maybe that's only because I really don't get why people do it. Just playing on my different alts is RP enough for me.
Anyway, thanks for including me and my alt, Catalia, in your kinship. See you all in game.

Hello! Thank you for inviting me to join I love the LOTR books and the four movies, and have been playing this game for over 5 years. My other favorite series is Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time...I dearly wish that there was an MMO dedicated to that series, but until then I spend my free time on LOTRO. In RL, I am a 40-something, happily married, professional engineer with two teenaged sons, living in California. In game, please feel free to call me "Candy" or "Candi" but I prefer not "Canda". I have several alts--Erindell ("Erin", Champion, currently level 78 or so), Dwynn (Burg, still in her 60s), Anae (pronounced "A-nay-a", elf LM, my first toon and still in her 50s) and supporting characters Calliopsis (Calli the Hobbit Hunter) and a couple of others. I like to RP when it's interesting and I like to help others. I started this Captain to see what the class was like and I'm finding it to be more interesting than I thought it would be. In their RP history, my alts are all either sisters or adopted sisters because it was too difficult for me to keep multiple backgrounds straight! Thank you again for the invite and see you in game!

Elen sila lumen omentielvo (the stars shine upon the hour of our meeting), all
I am a new member and new to LoTRO. I am an old skooler, having read the trilogy 12 times by my 14th birthday. After that I started surfing, and stopped reading, but it sticks, and the movies have brought it all back strong (well done).
I am 45, born in the summer of love (June 68) to a hippy and a soldier. They still don't agree on politics.
I am a software engineer (business intelligence architect), consultant, by trade, and studied computer science in the late 80s, when MuDding was huge amongst geeks who were already on the internet through school or military. MMORPG with text only for you younger folks.
My RL name is Tom and my wife is Shauna, two daughters Mouna and Fiona are 5 and 3.
I played lots of WoW but got bored of lore I didn't care for or know anything about, and so here I am (what took me so long?)
Looking forward to speaking to more of you.

I forgot to add that I live in Port Orange, FL, which is between Daytona Beach and New Smyrna Beach, north of Cocoa and Sebastian Inlet. I grew up surfing Ponce Inlet and Smyrna. I also started playing old book, paper, dice DnD at age 10 or so and ended up being the dungeon master (sucks if you want to play). We dreamed of having computers do the work for us. All you younger guys and gals- appreciate where technology is today, just as recently as the 80s you absolutely had to do it the hard way, and if you were smart enough to DM efficiently (time wise) you got stuck and never got to play

Hallöle,
just joined you coming over from Laurelin, where i left after 5 years of doing pretty much everything LOTRO has to offer.
I'm a 46 year old freelancing financial analyst from Germany, hopefully not as much of a yawn as that sounds.
See you in-game...cheers

Greetings fellow kinship members:
First, I want to offer my sincere thanks to Faral and his officers for their patience and coaching in assisting me learn the ropes of Fellowships, chat set-ups, and general communication standards in the kinship...much obliged ...( I am a rookie in all of this)
Hello, my name is David (Nepenthor in the game) and a little about myself. I am 64 yrs old, and married living in the beautiful state of Oregon. Yes, I am avid Oregon Duck fan!(Go Ducks...WTD!) I have raised two great kids now 33 and 31 and I have two wonderful grandkids, boy 3 and girl 2. I have co-owned a succesful business for over 35yrs. My gaming experience is limited. My son, the real gamer, got me hooked on Resident Evil 4 and it took me 4 months to beat it. At that time one of my employees suggested I try World of Warcraft and I got hooked in a RP atmoshpere. I have played WoW since 2008, leveling 5 characters to the top. This same employee was also playing LOTR and suggested it to me as a change from WoW.
I took her suggestion and the rest, they say is history...and here I am. I have been a loyal Tolkien reader, have read the books probably 5-6 times. The first time in college in the late 60's.
I have enjoyed the Epic quest lines in the game as they follow the story. I have two characters, Nepenthor, my Captain, and a bank alt (learned from wow) named Grizzhelm, a Guardian. I need to get him into the kinship. I look forward to meeting all of you and enjoying the many adventures and challenges this truly fine game has to offer.
Safe Journey
Nepenthor

Welcome to the family, Micro
erm...don't post any pics of you in a kilt...I have a weakness for guys in kilts (if they have nice legs, no chicken legs please!) but I'm an old married woman and shouldn't be swooning over guys in kilts. *grumbles about being old*

Greetings to everyone old and new! I was just invited to the Kin today. Thanks, Faral!
I'm an older lady, but still on the good side of 40. Unemployed this summer because later this month I will start student teaching full time, then, in Dec I'll have a bachelors in Elementary Education.
So, this summer I've been filling my spare time playing LOTRO, training people to run a marathon this winter, doing some accounting work for my bf's mom, and teaching art at summer camp. I thought 4th grade was the grade I want to teach, but during camp the kindergartners were my favorites! I think I want to teach kindergarten now.
My favorite MMO is City of Heroes, which recently shut down, which is what brought me to LOTRO. LOTRO has been fun, but it's a much more lonely game - practically impossible to find PUGs. Hoping a kin will make things a little less lonely. Even though in real life I am a total loner, and so I don't mind questing on my own at all, I just think it's more fun to quest virtually with other people in the comfort of my own home all by myself.
That's all for now. See you in Landroval!
