Hello everyone!
I have seen much interest in RP from the kin, so I have decided to implement something I have used in previous guilds I have ran/been in. I have created a channel called AllianceRP (/joinchannel AllianceRP).
What does this mean?
Well, I for one, dislike having to stop playing the game to meet with people in order to Roleplay. This channel gives us the opportunity to Roleplay whilst continuing to do what it is we're doing. It is a place for us Roleplayers to hang out without making those who do not Roleplay uncomfortable in kin chat. So, the channel is entirely optional.
Is there a setting?
Think of the channel as being set in the Kinhouse, or perhaps a tavern. I ask that you remain faithful to the overall setting of LoTR, but this is more of a sandbox.
What is a Sandbox?
Sandbox Roleplay is open-setting, loose with timelines, anything goes. There is no end goal of a story. It is driven purely by the stories the characters concoct. This means that one day, our kinmates may sit indoors drinking and talking, and the next day are out in the forest tracking some bear. It is purely our imaginations at work.
Can anyone join?
For the now, I believe we should keep it in-Kin only. If we find there is enough interest, and we would like to broaden who can join, we'll discuss opening it up to others.
So, feel free to join the channel and RP with us. Even if you aren't an RPer, this will allow you to learn, and join in with people you already know and are comfortable with.
And as always, if you have any questions -- I'm just a /tell Sylvarias away.
