Sidh took me one day, to Lumul-Nar. You know how it is when you enter a new instance with very experienced players and you never been yourself. I can best describe it as 'totally flabergasted'....every time.... You try to keep up and above all make no mistakes while you try to impress with your own mere capacities, that seemed awesome when soloing an instance seventeen levels below yours.
LoTRo has this brilliant concept... Instances that can be run with players of all sorts of levels. Overcoming certain difficulties which you will eventually run into when you do epic quests is one of the advantages if you are in a strong Kinship as ours is. Learning to use skills hidden in your K-panel for ages is another.
So, she took me and after what seemed a cinge coming in the last hall she said: 'Now do remember how I turn the mirrors, it is very important you do it right and very fast'. On which I replied: 'Ofcourse! Whatever you say Ma'am'. So I followed her around that big hall, going up and down ramps, killing Merevals, turning left and right in that elegant way women do their shopping, which by the way amongst men is called 'eratic'. And...watch her turn mirrors, remember...totally confused and flabergasted. Somewhere in this story I intentionally forgot our third compagnion until she lets me know her name and I can edit this. But running down the ramps to the last hall she added a comment: 'I so hate this part'. Now, women whom hate mirrors? That one did make me laugh, genuinly laugh. Anyway, I soon was to remember her...Yesterday to be precise...When I came to that last hall of Lumul-Nar in an Epic questline for Volume II, Book 8: Scourge of Khazad-dûm, 'A Relic in Lumul-nar'.
Basically you see four beams of light coming down, reflecting on mirrors turned in every direction you can think of. The point being they should be directed so light falls on the lense from the North, East, South and West. Since the lightbeams are situated in the North-East, South-East, South-West and North-West four more mirrors would suffice to do that...Eight in total, easy peasy...Not so in LoTRo though...Think again...While running around up and down and kill various evil creatures, you suddenly notice there are ten mirrors. And those two added ones block the easy solution to the problem. Do I have to add the very compromising part of my ego going to shatters after running around for at least half an hour, could have easily been an hour even? For reasons of sheer honesty I have to. At that time of day not a lot of people are on the server. So asking 'how to' came up with no answers or answers as 'Just turn the mirrors so they point to the middle...dumb@ss', you all can guess from which channel that last answer came from.
To the point...Thiarnan/Anarthalion...to the point...you have been too long in the company of Dwarves in Moria seeing your rambling's on...
I 'alt-entered' and searched the wiki. To eventually find a very annoying You Tube movie of half an hour that explained how to. One thing that was very revealing about it: use your map to look at the positions of the four corner mirrors! Since I had been running around for that long everything in the hall was lit up nicely. The other thing it did reveal was: do not watch You Tube movies to find an obvious solution if you don't want to waste too much time. Use other resources like Google images, because at this point, as in now, I realise that I can't insert the drawing I so neately drew of my solution(which, do not doubt that, was already solved) and have to resort to a link to a myriade of wonderfully creative solutions all in different styles...
