Hi all,
I just noticed that a few of the new end-game quests that came with update 13 will lead you to a specific instanced location, loaded with crafting material nodes. It's a bit like the Hytbold instances, only in these new ones you're alone so you won't see any other players running around. On top of that, mobs and crafting nodes do not respawn, so you can only get a limited amount of resources from each instance. The instances are dailies, but since there are about 15-20 crafting nodes in each instance it should still give you a pretty decent amount of materials on top of what you farm normally.
In order to reach these instances, you must first complete a few quests. I'm not entirely sure where I picked up the first non-epic quest after the launch of update 13, but I found it somewhere while doing the epics so it shouldn't be too hard to find. These new quests will lead you to the end Quickbeam, just outside of Fangorn. After doing some quests for him, he'll send you to the Entwood, a special corner of Fangorn (the area where Treebeard lives). Doing a few more quests there will unlock your access to the daily quests, which earn you reputation with the ents of Fangorn and some Fangorn leaves, which in turn can be bartered for end-game stuff like reputation recipes and LI titles.
There are several dailies that you can do for Quickbeam, but only 3 will lead you to instances. One instance is a cave with lots of ores and wolves, perfect for smiths and tailors. The second instance is actually an instanced version of an orc camp at the edge of the Fangorn forest with Western Rohan, so you might recognise it. It holds lots of orcs and wooden branches, so it's ideal for woodworkers. The last instance is a ruin filled with dunlendings and scholar items.
On a side note: the last non-daily quest you receive from Quickbeam tells you to explore and protect Fangorn with the help of his Huorn. In order to do this, you have to run around the area and look for messages indicating that the huorn has a new quest for you (the quests only activate in certain areas of the forest, there are 12 quests to be done in total and the locations of them appearing can be easily googled if you're too lazy to find out on your own). The quest map will give you some indications with quest rings on the location of the quests, but these rings don't disappear when you've completed the corresponding quest and they don't perfectly match the location either, so it's still a bit of experimenting to find everything.
That's it, have fun!
