First I will start by saying I am not pointing a finger at any single player or group of players in The Alliance. This posting is just a general observation.
The Gift of the Valar
To me this the worst thing Turbine could have ever come up with. You buy this and instantly you have a level 50 <insert class>. So what does this mean, in terms of being a bad thing? Will you really like the class? Why spend so much money/TP on a class you may know only what others tell you about?
People who fall for this so called "gift" have way too much money to waste on games. I can only understand this purchase if you have played the class on another server and know it well enough to enjoy it. Even at that, a server transfer is a much cheaper option than this is. If you have never played the class before, you are taking a pretty big gamble and for all practical reasons, you will totally suck at it until you can grasp the mechanics that make the class actually work.
My advice return this Gift before its too late .
Why Rush?
I have been playing this game now over 2 years and never gotten a character to level cap. Why? I enjoy the content and I want to explore it all.
I have seen many, and I mean 100s of players come into a kin I was in, either on Laurelin or here on Landroval as characters much lower than I and zoom past me to reach the level cap, like I am standing still. Do these people not realize this is not a traditional MMO? There is no "end game" content.
I get so tired of seeing people bitch and moan because they want new stuff yesterday. Crying cause they have nothing to do cause they did all they could to reach the cap and they are bored.
I also get tired of seeing crap like, I need help on this level 25 (solo) quest because I am level 18 and trying to speed level. I have horrible gear and no skills because I will just worry about that once I am at level cap.
Here are the facts on this game, in case people do not know them:
Powerleveling
This kinship will never lay out the way any of its members should level their characters. However, this kinship does not in any way support any type of powerleveling. If you choose to level in a fashion that is not in the norm for leveling by the mechanics of the game, you will do so privately. Do not ask in kinchat for help in areas not designed for your characters level range. It would be best for you if you request help of personal friends that support power leveling your characters (either in kin or out of kin) using tells.
Stop Being Lazy!
This kinship has a forum. Read it! There is a lot of helpful information already posted here that will answer a lot of your in-game questions. There are also links to many external sources of game information.
Read messages posted in kinchat/PPRC/GLFF before you reply. A fast way to be ignored by a lot of players is not knowing what level certain content in the game is, especially if the information is clearly posted in the leaders message.
As an example, when I post an instance request myself. I include the map the instance is in (you should know if you own the map or not) and the level requirement (if its level locked I will post the minimum level required, if its scaling I will post the range of levels that can gain the objectives in it). I know not all post instance request in this fashion. But please dont ask me where something is or what level it is when I clearly put it in my postings.
Follow the Leader
If you run an instance being led by someone else, respect them enough to let them lead the instance if they invite you to join it. Do not run off on your own or attempt to hijack their leadership of it. Be certain you understand what the goal is for the leader. Not all run an instance just to get the loot out of the end chest. Some actually work on the deeds in those instances and those deeds wont count if some jerk wants to run off in the opposite direction killing out of the range of the other members.
Well I think this is enough to get off my mind in one sitting. I hope those that read this don't think I am a total bitch. I only want to make the game more enjoyable for all. These are simply things that kill that enjoyment for myself and a lot of other players in the game.

Here are the facts on this game, in case people do not know them:
- Quests - You get the same experience for a quest turn in, no matter if you level 5 or level 95. (to clarify this means if they are doing the same exact quest) The only exception being event related quests; which are adjusted to suit your characters level. If the quest is purple to you when you turn it in you get 0 XP, why? Because its too difficult for your level. Asking others to hold your hand on what is normally a solo quest waste others time and keeps them away from things they may want to work on.
- Monsters - Monster XP is very small when compared to Quest XP. Attempting to kill monsters that deflect/resist a majority of your attacks only wastes your time and your gold because you cant kill them fast enough (increased item wear).
- Crafting - If you cant craft yourself, you burden others with having to craft for you. Most gear can last 10 levels before needing to be replaced, but if you are trying to reach cap quickly you burn through this gear at a faster pace. This takes time from others as well if they have to alt to get you a recipe list constantly, then wait on you to gather the materials needed, then mail all those items to you.
