This sales week is one a lot of you might have been waiting for: a few nice items at -20%.
- Expansion Quests: If you're not VIP, you can only do quests, deeds and instances from Ered Luin, The Shire, Bree-Land and the Lone Lands for free. The other areas have to be purchased from the LOTRO Store. VIPs however don't need to do that, since they "rent" access as long as their subscription lasts. However, VIPs need to buy access to expansion content too, just like everyone else. Expansions can be purchased as a full pack, or as just the quest pack. Buying the quests only will still limit you by blocking you from other content like instances, although that depends on the individual expansion you talk about.
- Expansions: as mentioned above, you can also buy a full expansion pack, which doesn't only include the quests, but also the instances (which are also included in the quest pack when you buy Moria). In some cases, it will also unlock other goodies (for example: the Moria expansion unlocks 2 additional character slots and the warden & RK classes).
- 100% XP Boost (1hr): This item will double the XP points you gain during 1 hour. make sure to activate it right before a long time of intense XP grinding, you don't want to waste this time traveling around or being AFK.
- Enhanced XP Supply: Unlike the XP boost, there is no timer on this item. You will get an amount of bonus XP, which will show as a blue bar in your XP progress bar. Each time you earn XP, it will be slightly increased compared to the normal amount you'd gain, and the bonus XP bar shrinks a little until it's all consumed. It even stacks with other XP boosters!
- Token of the Hornburg: This purchase will grant you a pocket item, which permanently increases the XP you gain from monster kills and crafting by 25%. Personally, I wouldn't buy this since there is already too much content in the game to do everything on the appropriate level... Remember: LOTRO is more about the journey towards level cap than about the things you can do when capped.
