Played with my UI settings and game options, and wanted to share it with the kin. You may download and use this layout if you like.
Download and save the file to your Documents/Lord of the Rings Online/ui/layout folder. If the UI and Layout folder (inside the UI folder) do not exist, you will need to create them.
Once in game, type the command /ui layout load Alliance
This will set the layout and game options to those associated with the layout file.
After its loaded:
1. Check your graphics settings first. I run on max graphics settings and my resolution may be different to yours. Adjust it as needed.
2. Your sound may sound weird if you are inside caves or dungeons. I have the EAX setting turned on, which gives sounds in these areas an echo like you would hear if you were actually in the cave. The voice chat sound is also turned on. You will be able to hear others speak if they use a mic, but will need a mic of your own to speak yourself.
3. For instances and raid settings. The target assist window is turned on (assist (hit same target) as the main tank by clicking their target in the assist window) and skill target forwarding (click the main assist themselves, your skills will automatically forward to hit only his main target (unless its an area of effect skill)). Combat state changes have been enabled to display who or what breaks dazes and stuns. For Debuffs cast on you, those that can be cured by potions or skills will only display. For buffs cast on you or fellow members, only buffs you can cast on them will display.
4. The tooltips window is set to static so you can hover over your skill bar and not worry about tooltips blocking your view.
5. The target morale window is moved to above your skill bar so you can see its health as you are selecting skills.
6. Fellow Maneuver selection and attempt windows are closer to your skillbar so you can see what the fellow is doing and get to select faster.
7. The pet control window, rk attunment window, and warden gambit window are just to the right of the hotkey window.
8. The Connection status notice is enabled.
9. The overall size of the UI is reduced to 90% of the default value.
10. Chat Window has new tab "Loot" and General tab filters have been set to not show loot drops, nor combat spam. Not sure, but may also add the PPRC alliance chat to General tab.
11. Profanity filter is turned off.
12. Tutorial hints are turned off
13. Show trivial quests in the compass mini map is turned on.
14. Involuntary emotes are disabled. (no more dancing or cheering at others expense)
Adjust and tweak any of these settings, or windows to suit your personal needs. To save your changes to the UI so you can use the UI across multiple characters type the command /ui layout save Alliance. You can name it something different also, if you choose.
