Formerly the Alliance Social Bug. The Alliance Survival Guide (weekly) will serve the same purpose; offering tips to kinmembers they may know already or ones that are new to them.
This thread will compile tips from the in-game mail, so members will have them for future reference. Members if you have tips you wish to share, feel free to mail them to any officer so they can be sent in a kinmail for others.
On with this weeks tip:
Need to check your email? Google something? Or do something in the background without closing the game? Try these 2 quick shortcuts.
1) Alt + Tab: Minimizes game window so you can see your full desktop.
2) Alt + enter: Toggles the game from Full Screen mode to Windowed Mode, allowing you to see whats going on in game while having the ability to work in other applications as well.
Both of these options will mark you as afk if you are inactive for a period of time and may auto log you out of the game if you are inactive for extended periods.

Raid Prep: There are many things you can do to prep for raids. Each raid is different and each requires its own steps. The following list is generic to most raids.
1. Research: Experience is a good teacher for most, but raids are usually fast paced and mistakes can cause a full wipe (everyone dies) if you do not know how to perform in them. If there are guides, try to read up on them. 2. Prepare a chat window for raids: Create a new tab or filter an existing tab to handle fellowship and raid chat. Often times people miss instructions because their chat window is cluttered with combat hit spam or loot spam. You do not need to see this info in a raid situation. 3. Reduce Lag: To reduce lag during raids, go into your cosmetic settings and remove cloaks from visibility, Press N to hide floaty names, or if needed, turn down graphic settings. 4. Follow the leader: Raids are not solo adventures. If the leader is experienced with the raid, follow their instructions. Coincides with step 1.
