Hullo folks!
After the small amount of sales last week, there's a quite large amount of them this week... All focused on crafting, and they come at -30%!
That's it for the sales of this week... Next up: the weekly freebie. Those in need of marks and medallions, get your store up and find the +100% Mark Acquisition (90min) x1, apply coupon code MRXS8 and get it for free! (1/account).
Since a new month started in the past week, there are new steeds available in the store as well (until December 31):
In addition, the Steed of Bree is also available from today (Dec. 6) until Dec. 12.
Next: December is here, which means LOTRO's Winter deals are back! Each weekend there are a few nice sales in the store. This weekend (Dec. 6-8), you get 35% off of Tomes of Vitality, +1 rank for the Zeal Virtue and Premium Relic Packs. The Winter Deals for the coming weekends will be announced a day or so before they go live.
And the list goes on: winter also means the Winter Festival (Yuletide) will soon return! Earlier this week, Turbine announced that the Yule festival will start Wednesday December 18 and will last until Tuesday January 14 (that being the last full day of the festival)!
There is one more thing I'd like to say here: I received a mail a few days ago from Turbine, granting me a code because I purchased Helm's Deep. That's nice, I thought... Until I saw that the code could only be used to get 15% off on another Helm's Deep purchase through the LOTRO Market (meant as a gift for the holiday season). Since I have no real life friends or family that play the game so the first one who sends me an in-game mail gets the code (keep in mind that it has to be used in the Market, it's useless in the LOTRO Store!)
That's it for this week, take care & see you in-game!

- Ingredient Packs: These items can be used to replace the actual materials you would need to complete a recipe. Simple recipes will cost you 1 or 2 ingredient packs, while more complicated recipes (like guild stuff) may cost several packs (not sure what the maximum is). Ever since the Westemnet update, ingredient packs became universal, so you don't have to worry anymore about getting the right pack for the tier you're working on.
- Crafting Guild Access: This item is not needed as long as you are VIP, but those who are F2P or premium cannot advance their crafting guild status beyond "Apprentice of the Guild" without buying access. You'll need to purchase access to each separate guild to advance in them, but at least the access is account-bound and not character-bound. That means, if you buy weaponsmith access on one toon, you won't have to buy it on another toon anymore. You will have to buy access for any other crafting guild though. Note that access will not be taken away from you if you advanced when VIP and then drop back to premium. You will keep your access to all acquired guild services, but you will have to purchase access when a new tier is released with another expansion if you want to progress your status to the new maximum.
- Craft Experience Boosts: Does it take you ages to finish a crafting tier, or do you just want to master it as fast as you can with as few mats as possible? The craft XP boosts will increase the XP you receive by 25%, 50% or 100% on all recipes executed within a certain time window. Note that this does not work for prospector, forester or farmer recipes.
- Rapid Crafting Boosts: These items will increase your crafting speed by reducing the induction time to 0.5 seconds for 1 minute. Very nice if you have to process large amounts of materials, for example when mastering a tier after you just spent 4 hours mining 250 chunks of ore.
- Complete Crafting Tiers: Got loads of TP you don't know what to spend on, and need to work on your crafting to get it to your level? This item will complete the tier instantly upon purchase. Available for all professions, and for tiers apprentice - Eastemnet.
- Recipe Books: These items will grant you all recipes for a certain tier (except for the guild recipes and the single use recipes), so you don't have to collect them all by yourself.
