Welcome to our new feature, Interview With....
A couple times a month, I'll be ambushing one of our kin members for an interview. I hope everyone will enjoy reading their answers and I hope our interviewees enjoy sharing some things about themselves.
My first 'victim' is our leader Faral, whom I thank very much for participating.
1. Why did you start a kin? Actually I didn't want to start a kin in lotro. I have had the responsibility and work of being a guild/kin leader in every single game I have ever played. It's certainly rewarding .. but I was ready to just enjoy myself and "play the game" for a change. After spending 2 years of being in different kins ... some went inactive, some were drama-based, some were impersonal, some were vulgar ... etc etc etc. Not only was I unhappy myself but also felt bad for all the folks caught into the same situations as I was and unable to find a good, wholesome, friendly, and mature kin. One with good honest leadership and honest caring for it's members. I finally realized that if I wanted those things ... I would again have to create my own kin. The reward has been ... many other folks appreciating what has been created .. not only by me ... but by all of our contributions to our mutual goals.
2. Of your many toons, which is your favorite to play and why? Hunter!!! hunter has been my favorite to play in every game. I enjoy the challenge of "stealthing" and trying to figure out how to solo a class that is not equipped to take on multiple mobs.
3. Of the Lotr books and movies, who is your favorite character and why? Now that's a difficult question because I appreciate equally what each and every single character brings to the plate. It would not be the same without all the talents and indeed personalities of all.
4. What is your favorite real life activity or hobby? Work. LOL ... yup ... I am one of those people who has never had a hobby ... maybe because I have never had any spare time because I work all the time. I like to work. If you could call my volunteer jobs hobbies ... then being a fire fighter and ambulance driver.
5. Name 1 thing you would change about the Lotro game. The crappy housing. Honestly, this game has worse housing than games that I was playing 15 years ago. People have been crying out for better housing since beta ... only to be ignored .... shame on you lotro.
6. What 1 thing would you like people to know about you? Oh ... i donno .... just a regular old man here ... jack of all trades and master of none.
