Staranise (pronounced star-ah-neese) is usually called star by family and friends. She is 20 years old and even though she loves plants and things grown, staying in a hobbit hole growing flowers and plants for the rest of her life isn’t exactly what she wants to do for the rest of her life. She had seen Gandalf on more than one visit for a party and listened to the stories that Bilbo told of his adventures with the dwarves. Star is a little short for a hobbit and has a medium auburn hair with big bright green eyes that often have a mischievous twinkle.
For a hobbit, Star can have a serious streak at times and can be somewhat shy from time to time, but most often she is just as bubbly as any other hobbit. Just beware her quiet contemplative moods. She usually is a loner at these more rare times.
For want of experiencing the adventures that Bilbo had back in his day, Star picked up a javelin, spear and shield and learned the basics on her own before starting to help the bounders with the wolves and other things that have been going on in the shire very recently. But lately things had gotten a lot odder. Big people, and very bad at that… I mean, VERY bad, have been in the shire of late and asking questions about the Baggins’ and the shire. Men, dressed in black cloaks, riding big black horses; and you can FEEL the bad coming off of them. The one she had seen personally not only scared her half out of her own skin, but had also scared a bounder, and some younger hobbits she knew. The one she knew best was Pippin, though she knew them all by face and name, yet even Pippin she really only knew from a distance. She had always had a soft spot for the one hobbit whose antics could always make her laugh. She really should have talked to him before now, but it would seem he went quickly in the same direction as Frodo, Sam and Merry. She could only pray that they would stay safe and that someday she might get the chance to laugh at Pippins antics once more.
