Here's my dilemma... I am having a great deal of fun on LOTRO but I am still very hesitant to spend money to subscribe. I am no stranger to the MMO market but in many cases it was the complete lack of anything to do after max level that made me want to quit. I realize my toon is only 30 right now, but I wonder if the expansion packs are still worth getting, or if I should just wait till I'm high enough to just buy Rohan.
As a former WoW player I realize that the older your toon is the more irrelevant some of your accomplishments get. When I left, I had maxed out reputations with folks that either didn't exist anymore, or had zero relevance to the game. I guess what I'm asking is what do you guys do for fun after you hit max level?

Skirmishes, which are similar to random dungeons, to get marks for what would be called 'badge gear' in WoW.
Finish getting your traits to max - with Rohan, that's 16, and its quite easy to out-level content before you finish all the deeds.
Epic story line - really should be done as you go, as the gear is quite nice and the entire thing can be solo'd.
Also, doing more Deeds (the things you do to increase your traits) also increases your quest capacity.
Maxing rep in this game is more difficult that it was in WoW for most reputations.
Some people RP at max level, others alt. But, IMO, there's lots to do at max level if you want good gear.

Cool! That's some food for thought. I like how the epic storyline gives you a reason to go to different areas.

Well, I'm sure glad I didn't subscribe yet! I haven't been able to log in for two days... Anyone else having issues? I know Rohan just launched, but I didn't think it would shut everything down though.
