I have bought and paid for voice services for previous guilds in the past and was wondering what the level of interest of having one available would be. If you have an interest or disinterest please leave responses and I will take it into consideration. I also don't want to set one up without the blessing of the guild leadership, but assuming approval is given do you have a preference to of which type?
I find voice chat software to be integral to raiding but not very integral to normal content. I do enjoy being able to chat with people while doing something that is very difficult in game. I hope I am not stepping on any toes, thanks for taking the time to read (and vote).

I don't have a mic so it doesn't really apply to me.

You are still able to listen to others talk if you would so desire.

My only concern about getting a voice program like Vent is that the majority of people will prefer to hang out there and chat in game will no longer be used for things like spontaneous instance runs, questing, etc. Those that do not hang out in vent will end up missing out on things.
I don't mind using it for things that require group cohesion like raids and instances, but when I'm online, I generally prefer to watch television, listen to music, listen to old Art Bell re-runs, or just soak up the wonderful ambient sounds of the game.
I think Vent or Teamspeak or Skype would be far better than the in-game voice, to be sure, so it wouldn't hurt to have those programs when we need them.
I just worry it will become "the place to be" when online; my STO fleet is like that, and I rarely do things with them now because it requires me to sit on vent listening to a lot of chatter just in case the fleet decides to throw something together.
