Hello sweeties,
Before I get to the 'nitty-gritty' of this topic, I'd like to bring up a couple of very recent situations that have made this post necessary.
1. Vendla and Cuarlang's wedding...for those of you who were there, you know exactly what I'm talking about. For those who weren't I'll explain as best I can.
The wedding was to be an enjoyable event for all involved. We even had people not of our kin as guests and it was my hope they would see what a fun and mature kinship we have.
Sadly, we had one person who did his level best to ruin it for everyone. Most likely he thought he was giving everyone a good time, but the only one having a good time with his 'war-shouting', jumping around, rolling on the ground, and playing a musical instrument in the middle of the ceremony, was -him-.
2. Roleplaying Tutorials....As has happened several times during our tutorials, at least one person has been disruptive in some form or other....whether it be 'joking around' or 'playing a musical instrument' while I was -attempting- to teach.
Yes, believe it or not, some people find it difficult to concentrate on the 'teacher' while someone else is distracting them with 'jokes' and 'music'.
My policy, up till now, on dealing with this kind of behavior has been to be patient and wait for 'a better time' to deal with it. While -I- may overlook being disrespected during events, our players certainly deserve better.
So I have decided that from now on, when someone becomes disruptive, I WILL halt what I am doing and deal with that person immediately.
I apologize in advance to those who will have their fun interrupted while I admonish someone, but I will no longer tolerate -you- , our kind and valued members, being disrespected by disruptive people...and yes, it -is- disrespectful when someone takes away -your- enjoyment for their own selfish gratifications.
